I know when I get my E-Body done it will almost always be the only one out there at the track.
Unless you see a gold one at Milan, that's ours.

Does say he has graciously lowered his reserve and buy it now...What the heck was it before?? Member or not I think puff puff pass is in order Then again it is an E Body Oh yeah I do, and have had a few E boies. Nice cars but would not be my first choice as a racer..

70 E bodies are probably my favorite cars of all time, but the pricing is complete lunacy nowadays. I would be much more likely to buy a new challenger.
My 67 and 68 Darts have been tons of fun, I think they are more attractive than lots of the newer A's, and they fit my budget.
11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.
9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

Good answer! Not only does the A body have the weight advantage but doesn't it also benefit traction-wise from more rear-overhang???
Though I might disagree about the traction bit
Ummm, not much traction problem here either? Brian Dunnigan

Once you start modifying the cars, it's possible to make the A or E body hook very well. But comparing both as produced, or modified to the SAME level (engine, trans, suspension, etc.) the A-body has the advantage.
I've had both as my first street and then race car was a Challenger.
I would agree with the exception of Stock Eliminator(NHRA) and the F.A.S.T. racing..Nothing like a A or AA Stock 70/71 Hemi/6pk Challenger or Cuda going heads up against a brand X's best bigblock for class or eliminations..all legal A bodies can only wish they were fast enough to participate. I've owned multiple A bodies and really enjoyed them, but in these classes E's and older B's are king. Stock Eliminator and F.A.S.T. are the greatest car shows on wheels IMO!
Just ask the guys who used to have to go up against Fred Henson's former record holding Hemi Challenger.

Yea.....E-bodies dont make good racecars....
correct they replaced them with these
A Duster will NEVER get close to the looks of that Cuda....no way no how...
My opinion is the opposite . there is a saying that " beauty is in the eye of the beholder" When did looks count for adding any performance in a race car ?
I love them all but looks aside... Yea...by the looks of this the Duster was dominant...check out '70 on... http://www.ronniesox.com/history.html

I like em all because they are all Mopars ! But the A-body is usually lighter and that will make the fastest race car with less weight of course. My self I love the coolness and looks of my 63 Sport Fury as it was right in the thick of the Max Wedge era which were Mopars first real threat on the dragstrip that ended up dominating in the 62-64 years untill the HEMI !
